Driving 90 mph on the LIE to take me to see my sister, only to find out we rushed all the way to St. John's Hospital and she was at Stony Brook. You taking your Blue GEO Tracker into the woods and driving it straight into the basement of a house being built. You, going door to door selling Kirby Vacuums by pouring some chemicals on someone's rug to show them how clean it gets. You falling straight off a 2nd story Deck, landing in the same chair you fell in. You getting a full Beer bottle broken over your head at 7-11 in Holbrook and just laughing. You starting a brawl because someone threw Brendan into a pool. You slamming a baseball over the fence at Hidden Pond Park. You telling the cop you just saw the guy they were looking for around the block and it was you they were looking for.. lol. These stories could fill a book, and there memories that have lasted almost 30 years and will stay with me. I'll choose to remember all the good things you did in your life. Im sorry you left so soon, but you packed quite a life into your years here. I prayer your Parents find peace after this and your Brothers and Sister, and your Wife as well. You were a larger than life presence, and your loss for them is a big one. The pain for you is over Chris. Rest in Peace old Friend.

Rest easy now old Friend. You were always trying to be the one to one up everybody. You were always working on something or had your busy mind involved in some sort of scheme to get ahead. Always the salesman. You were a good Friend. No Man or Woman walks this Earth without Flaws. We all have them. You packed alot of life into your 44 years. Im glad I got to be around you for 29 of them. I have so many good memories of great times we had, and those will be the ones I'll look back on when thinking of you.

Chris was a force, in the few months that I got to know him. He spoke with wisdom, knowledge of addiction, and oh how he loved his wife. Erica, know that you were the driving force behind him, he was so afraid to lose you. In our group classes he was transparent—so honest about his struggles. This disease is powerful, I think he had a handle on it, until he didn’t. His insights, his wit, his hope. That is what I think of. He wanted and deserved so much more. Praying for strength and hope for his family and loved ones. May God give you peace within this darkness.

There are few people in life who can leave a lasting impression of joy from within, but Chris did just that. His steadfast belief in law & order, common sense and understanding was often seen in his posts. His love for his families, and mainly his wife Erica was unwavering. He enjoyed sports and we shared many of the same thoughts about about our country and his outlook always portrayed positivity for it. It’s true we never got to know him well nor spend time with him, but he was a Facebook friend and because he shared there we learned all those things about him. We also know how deeply our niece, Erica loved him and he her and we mourn his loss because of that love. He will always be remembered and our prayers will always be for his eternal rest and spirit of peace. May Erica and his family find comfort in knowing that he was loved by many. Our heartfelt condolences to all of them.

I knew Chris briefly but intensely. We spoke daily during program and he embodied "talking to help": he reached out, connected with you, spoke in a way uncannily familiar to you and made a true connection. He was genuine in the truest sense of the word. He made me laugh, cry, explore myself and see the world a bit differently. My heart breaks for and goes out to his family, friends and loved ones whom I never got to know. Chris: I love you and will always miss you. You have left an indelible mark on the world and though you have been taken from us way too soon, you will always live on in our hearts. Until we meet again. Pete S

How can I describe the impact that Chris had on the people that knew him. Always there for support, a helping hand, and a big smile. His love for his wife, his family, and his friends was unmatched.
